Just wanted to say good luck to all the finalists. There were some awesome videos. I didn’t make the top 10 myself but it was a total blast making the video (my first one ever) :) I can’t wait to see who wins and to watch their progress over the next year.

Thanks Ryonet for being such a great company. I can’t wait to learn more about screen printing and to get my business going. It’s going to be so much fun.

Thanks again and Good Luck to ALL.

    Hey Ryan,

I just wanted to tell you that I have already started getting orders because of your Contest. I make films and DJ so I already have a fan base, that might have been it. But either way you helped me jump into my screen printing biz. I just wanted to thank you. You have inspired me to start a Video Log anyway. So look up 3 Minutes with Dr Jack in the future. I have my second episode up already. I drive a 2010 Camaro 120mph. That was mega fun dude! Anyway. I just wanted to tell you thanks and I make my first 50 bucks today for 7 shirts. Single color. It looks like Im not going to win so I figured I would say thanks. Later dude.

Dang Now Im even with Kevin. Its me and you buddy. All the special effects and Hi def cameras in the world cant beat a good story and a whole school full of people to vote for you. Ive only seen one other person with hd and the capabilities to edit film. I hope public opinion will do the best job for Ryonet possable. IM sure Ryonet will supply some good cameras and editing software so that you can understand and be able to see the details of what the winner will be showing. So far the webcam option is going to only convey the audio part of the blog. You have to be able to do shots as part of proper coverage of the subject. You could have the perfect way of explaining something but if you cant properly represent it in good filming techniq then you will loose the interest of the reader. I am interested to see what happens. Im in tie for last place so I will most likely be watching the winner. Watch for 3 Minutes with Dr Jack Im already working on my 3rd 4th and 5th shows. Google or Facebook
Dr Jack to find me and my crazy videos. I already have 2 channel so look them up too. Youtube fcptv or fatchickproductions1
Later. Watch my show for a chance at a free shirt. LAter people. And good luck.

As someone that is new to the business myself each of these entries has motivated me even more to work harder each day. Good Job Waltz Family. Im saving for a black printer. I just wanted you to know to get one from Ryonet because it seems to be the best in the industry. It does not seem to come with this package. Really the printer is key to making shirts. But good job whatever you did worked. I came in second to last even with the green screen and custom CGI at the end. Later

Ok I just looked at Kevin’s video and he seems to be a good candidate for this blog contest also. Why have the 2 capable video guys fallen to the bottom? I mean this is a contest for a video blogger. You have to have proper equipment and video skills to make this effective unless the ryonet guy is going to edit and shoot everything for everyone. I see 3 people with cameras. everyone else is on a webcam. This is not 97 people. HD is the new internet standard. How will these people with no editing skills show the products and services offered by Ryonet? This is the point of having a blog contest correct? Helping the customer with selecting products via example is one of the most basic forms of advertisment. But in order to achiev this you have to engage the reader or watcher. And you have to do it for a year. Good luck to whoever the public picks cause you got a year of creating a show comming up. I think most of you though you were trying to win a screen press. But you really earned a job and they paid you with product which is also industry standard as products cost way less then they retail for. I hope this works out for both parties. But the public is never a way to go when choosing a new employee. lol Go with it Kevin. Your the man.

    dr jack!

i actually really wanted to win the video blog too.
also, when/if you win, ryonet gives you a mini flip HD camcorder, for those who didnt previous have equip.

    http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=safari&rls=en&q=flip+mino+hd&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=12998879656717107856&ei=WG8rTL-aPIPgnAey9rn0DQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CEIQ8wIwAA#ps-sellers

and dont be so harsh! its just a contest, we really wanted to win too but we obviously arent going to either, but its worse for us because tomorrow is my birthday!

so im losing on my birthday hahahaha

    H.264 – 1280 x 720 – 30 fps – 7200 sec
This only mean hd dementionaly. You need 3ccd chip to acctually do HD. And you need video editing equipment or it will look just like a webcam. This is why video productions is handled by video productions people. SO Im not mad Im just not agreeing with hireing someone based on what the internet thinks. The point of this was to find someone who can increase sales by giving example of how any one can make a business in screen printing. This will be a guide for lots of people. O well I just need a printer and Im good. But I got a free class in LA. Good thing gas is so cheap and were going to stay at Ryans house when we get there. Can I trade my Free class for a Ryonet shirt? Good Ol America.

Dr. Jack, you are correct that this was a video blog contest, but you miss the point entirely.

If it was all about the video, Ryonet would have reviewed the entries and selected the best video presentation. That would have been an audition and not a contest.

Instead, it was all about blogging and Ryonet’s desire to put their products before the most people possible. That is why this was a contest and all about blogging. Social networking, blogs, email and Facebook pages are what wins contests like these and allows Ryonet to achieve their goal as well. It’s called publicity.

Most people, in general, and the nine other contest entrants, in particular, understand that it’s all about the message and not about the pretty presentation.

Lastly, of course it’s all about the toys. Do you think that the other contest entrants would have gone the extra miles to ask family and friends to vote for them if there wasn’t a carrot at the end of the stick? You whine about being at the bottom. Isn’t that a direct result of you not promoting your video? The amount of effort that all entrants put in to produce their videos was greatly exceeding by the efforts to get out the vote for those that rose to the top. No small achievement.

I say congratulations to all who submitted entries and made the extra effort to promote their video and to also promote Ryonet.

    Mr. Jim

My complaint is that the contest entry was june 1st. I saw a video from june 10th. I also remember the number 5 when it come to finalists, yet there are ten. You tell me why Im mad. So Kelly which video did you do? This is why you say this stuff. Because your not in the contest. Dont make rules if your going to break them. IM not really a sore loser but The contest was a little off dont you think. Say it was fair Kelly. Tell me that they did not screw with the rules Kelly.

    Dr. Jack,
On June 21st you posted a comment that “I ready have a fan base”. Didn’t you point any of them to the contest website? If you did, they clearly didn’t vote for your entry. If you didn’t, you once again missed the point of the contest. I doubt that you would be the kind of blogger that Ryonet would want. If anyone criticized you, another tirade (like the one you’ve chronicled here) would ensue. You drive 120 mph! Enough said.
