HELLOOOO!! OK so, I have not had any training and I’ve learned everything I know on me own, so if my inquiries sound retarded just bear with me. I had a very hard time lining up this only 2 color project. Every time I had to look through the screen and align it by eyeball. It seemed like the screw under the tshirt platform to hold it in place wouldn’t tighten enough to hold it perfectly tightly in place. What do I need to do to align it correctly every time without having to worry about adjusting everything everytime? And also, I like the plastisol inks’ look, but it’s such a bitch to get off and I’m using your guys’ Enviroline ink remover…I waste a whole bunch of paper AND real towels. Any advice on that?? You guys ROCK!!! I just did my very first PAYING job!! YAAYY!!! Thanx!

Is there a chart that says for instance, on a royal blue shirt, you have to underbase yellow but you don’t need to underbase green.
When do i underbase and when not.

Another topic I would like to see on video is about trapping and over printing. How to set Accurip for each.
How to best make an undrbase on Coreldraw and how to print it.
Yet another would be how much to flash, when not to flash, what are problems with over and under flashing and when to print wet on wet and when not to.

When I heat press on polyester it leaves a heat mark on the shirt! I know there’s a foam they sale I just don’t know what kind of foam to buy? I also would like to know. What type of ink to use on nylon sports shirts? And can I do a two color on dark nylon?

You want to use this foam kit. http://www.silkscreeningsupplies.com/site/799934/product/VAFoamKit
You want to use either nylon ink or standard plastisol WITH A CATALYST! The catalyst is the most important part to printing on nylon. http://www.silkscreeningsupplies.com/site/799934/page/873815
You can printing multiple colors but you will want to pre shrink the nylon before printing.

Help!! I am trying to use Ryonet white ink and have added a 15% soft hand to it but, it is still sooooooo thick. I am trying to get some samples done and once I have this business up and running I am planning to job out my orders – I sm way much better on the marketing end. Do you have any ideas how I can thin this ink?? It is like peanut butter – the red and black are the perfect consistency.
Thanks

White ink is a bit of a trick, if you think Ryo white is thick then you should see some of the other whites out there, Ryo white is actually VERY easy to work with comparatively. Check out this article on how to print plastisol white ink. There is a trick to the pressure, angle, of your squeegee, and off contact, but once you get it down, it looks amazing! Hope this helps! Mike: Thanks for the feedback. We distribute CorelDRAW and feel it is a strong tool for imprinters...plus it is a better value. $499 for both CorelDRAW and PhotoPaint...as compared to AI and PS @ $1500+. We are disappointed in Adobe's decision to 'remove' tools and features from PS + AI...which required you to buy more product (inDesign) in order to gain the some function. If your MAC is running an Intel chip you can use Corel in BootCamp or Fusion.

I enjoy the videos and wouild like to see more screen printing white on dark shirts but with detail that still uses 110 mesh screens and How to align two colors with color that touches and do not touch for beginners with the basic exposure stand and with out the pre-registration board- if you have more than one or two ways to align artwork. I would like to have different approaches for it I still have trouble aligning two color even if I have registraion marks and measuring. I hope I explained myself clearly.

I’m printing the pocket area (no pocket) and would like to hear from an experienced printer on the best methods of measuring and getting it straight.

A key component of my business is placing numbers and names on jerseys. This may be specific to a small segment of screen printers but I would like to see a video on number stencils and how to make two color numbers on mesh jerseys.

I’d love to see a cmyk VS simulated process VS index seperations overview. Have not really done any of them myself YET, and would enjoy having a better idea of how they work and differ!
